Additional notesHOME
The home is a large, historic multi-unit complex with a grand main house and smaller carriage houses in the rear. The owner lives upstairs in the main home and there are long term tenants in the carriage home. The renovation of the exterior of the property is still a work in progress.
PRESENCE OF ANIMALS
The homeowner has three very friendly dogs that may be present in the yard at any given time.
PARKING
There are only a limited number of street parking passes assigned each year and are given to guests on a first come, first served basis so availability is not guaranteed. You can request a pass after your reservation is made but if they are all used before your arrival please note that we are not held responsible.
There is also off-street parking at the rear of the home but this portion of the yard is unpaved and low lying and can get wet when there is a lot of rainfall.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.
Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb's insurance or other options are recommended.
INSECTS
As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND
We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist with any inquiries. We look forward to your visit.
